A RESOLUTION SUBMITTING TO THE ELIGIBLE ELECTORS
OF THE CITY OF PUEBLO AT THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL
ELECTION TO BE HELD ON NOVEMBER 7, 1995, A
QUESTION RELATING TO A REVENUE AND SPENDING
CHANGE
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has advised the City Council that the City's revenue
from sources not excluded from fiscal year spending will exceed the City's 1994 maximum revenue
and spending limits under Article X, Section 20 of the Colorado Constitution by $1,066,426, and
WHEREAS, such excess must be refunded in 1995 unless the voters approve a revenue
change as an offset, and
WHEREAS, the City is in need of additional funds for fire and police emergency vehicles,
storm drainage and roadway improvements, and
WHEREAS, it would be in the best interests of the City if the excess would be approved by
the voters as a revenue change for fire and police emergency vehicles, storm drainage and roadway
improvements; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1.
The question of a revenue change pursuant to Section 20(7) of Article X of the Colorado
Constitution in the amount of $1,066,426 in fiscal year 1994 for fire and police emergency vehicles,
storm drainage and roadway improvements shall be submitted to a vote of the eligible electors of
the City at the general municipal election to be held on November 7, 1995. The ballot title
(submission clause and title) therefor shall be as follows:
QUESTION NO. C - SHALL CITY OF PUEBLO, COLORADO BE
AUTHORIZED TO RETAIN AND SPEND $1,066,426 FROM REVENUES
COLLECTED IN FISCAL YEAR 1994 FOR FIRE AND POLICE
EMERGENCY VEHICLES, STORM DRAINAGE, AND ROADWAY
IMPROVEMENTS, AS A VOTER - APPROVED REVENUE CHANGE AND
AN EXCEPTION TO THE LIMITS WHICH WOULD OTHERWISE APPLY
PURSUANT TO ARTICLE X, SECTION 20 OF THE COLORADO
CONSTITUTION OR ANY OTHER LAW?

SECTION 2.
The officers of the City are authorized and directed to take all action necessary, appropriate
or required to effectuate the provisions of this Resolution.
SECTION 3.
This Resolution shall become effective upon final passage.
