HomeMy WebLinkAbout7424RESOLUTION NO. 7424 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL OF AN APPLICATION TO THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ADMINISTRATION (EDA) FOR PUBLIC WORKS ASSISTANCE UNDER THE AUTHORITY OF THE PUBLIC WORKS AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ACT OF 1965, AS AMENDED, AND AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT OF THE CITY COUNCIL TO EXECUTE SAME WHEREAS, the City of Pueblo has requested assistance from the Economic Development Administration (EDA) to support the City's ongoing economic development in Downtown Pueblo; and WHEREAS, the Denver Regional Office has invited the City to submit an application to the EDA for $1.5 million in assistance under the authority of the Public Works and Economic Development Act of 1965, as amended, for the purpose of constructing a parking facility in the Downtown area; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, COLORADO, that: SECTION 1• An application to the EDA for Public Works assistance under the authority of the Public Works and Economic Development Act of 1965, as amended, is on file in the office of the City Clerk and is hereby approved.
