Re: Pueblo Depot Activity Development Authority -- Economic
Development Administration Grant Application
Dear Joyce:
The Pueblo Depot Activity Development Authority is seeking funds for its
FY 94 -95 Program, being the period October 1, 1994 through September
30, 1995. The majority (75 %) of the funds are being sought from a U. S.
Economic Development Administration (EDA) Title IX Grant. The EDA
Grant requires a 25% local match. I have enclosed a copy of the
pre - application, which contains the proposed budget detail.
The Authority is requesting $16,000 in cash from the City of Pueblo for
the 1994 -1995 Program. This is substantially less than the City's
combined contributions of $46,177 for the 1993 -1994 Program.

Dr. Takaki and I met with the Board of County Commissioners on June 1,
1994. The board conceptually agreed to the County's contributing $31,000
to the Authority, consisting of $16,000 cash and $15,000 in -kind services.
