ATTEST: City Cler INTRODUCED January 24 ,1994 B CHARLES JONES Councilperson APPROVED: esi ent of the Council -2- JAN 05 '94 11:21 AM Page - SERVICES CO. January 5, 1994 City of Pueblo 211 E. "D" Street Pueblo, CO 81003 Attn- Mike Beyer We would like to present the following proposals for repairs to the spur track serving Doane Products Inc. 1) Remove approximately 150' section of track over culvert and approximately 40' section of track around derail. Grade area to allow for approximately 8 " -10" of ballast. Existing ballast will be either disposed over bank or mixed in with subgrade. The subgrade will be compacted by wheel rolling with a backhoe. Lay stabilization fabric and reinstall track using new ballast. We estimate approximately 4 -5 days to complete all work for a price of $9950. This work can be completed during the week of January 10 -14, and would require the track to be out of service for approximately 3-4 days. Replacement of ties, if required, would be an additional charge. 2) Undercut approximately 1200' of track. Lay stabilization fabric. Reballast and surface track. The undercutter will cut approximately 8" to 9" from beneath ties. In order to achieve the 12" ballast section desired we would have to change the elevation of the track and have run offs on either end. We estimate approximately 5 working days to complete all work at a price of $29,500. We can begin mobilizing the week of Jan. 10 -14 and complete the work and demobilize the week of Jan. 17 -21. The track would have to be out of service while we performed the work. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact our office. Sincerely, Steven R.
