RESOLUTION NO. 7199
A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A PROJECT TEAM AND APPROVING THE GOAL,
MISSION, AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF AN ECONOMIC
AND PHYSICAL FRAMEWORK FOR SOUTH DOWNTOWN PUEBLO
WHEREAS, it is the goal of the Pueblo City Council to create an
economically sound, strong, and vibrant community business district in South
Downtown with a sense of history, purpose, and vision; now therefore;
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:

A South Downtown Project Team will be formed as a part of the 302(a)
EDA planning grant whose mission will be to participate in and assist with
forming communitywide consensus on:
. a shared vision for the future of the South Downtown community
business district;
. the expansion of existing and creation of new economic
opportunities;
the consolidation of common and ongoing efforts in economic and
physical development for the mutual benefit of all; and
. the development of private and public leadership for implementing
the adopted South Downtown Framework Plan.
SECTION 2:
THE RESPONSIBILITIES of the Team will be to serve as spokes persons
for organizations interested in the future economic development of the South
Downtown; to meet on a frequent and regular basis with the City's technical
team during the entire course of the five —month planning effort and
periodically during the implementation of the plan. Members of the team will

provide the City staff with ideas and responses and, at the same time,
provide a liaison function with various groups with which they are
affiliated.
SECTION 3
The City Council therefore resolves that the following persons be
invited to join the Project Team and take part in the South Downtown Project:

PUEBLO RENAISSANCE PROJECT
THE GOAL of the South Downtown framework plan is to develop
an economically sound, strong, and vibrant community business
district with a sense of history, purpose, and vision.
THE MISSION of the South Downtown Project Team will be to
participate in and assist with forming communitywide
consensus on:
a shared vision for the future of the South
Downtown community business district;
the expansion of existing and creation of new
economic opportunities;
