RESOLUTION DESIGNATING MAY 11 THROUGH MAY 18, 1991 AS
CLEAN -UP PUEBLO WEEK AND SUSPENDING COLLECTION OF THE
CITY IMPOSED TIPPING FEES FOR THIS TIME PERIOD FOR ALL
CITY OR COUNTY RESIDENTS WHO TAKE NEIGHBORHOOD AND
YARD REFUSE TO THE SOUTHSIDE LANDFILL FOR DISPOSAL
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Pueblo City Council to improve the
appearance of the community by encouraging residents to clean -up their property
and,dispose of the collected refuse at the Southside Landfill; and
WHEREAS, the suspension of collection of the tipping fees at the Southside
Landfill, during the week of May 11 through May 18, 1991, would provide an incen-
tive for residents of the community to participate in a "Clean -Up Pueblo Week"
campaign;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, COLORADO
that:
SECTION 1:
The week of May 11 through May 18, 1991 is officially designated as "Clean-
Up Pueblo Week "
SECTION 2
The City approved tipping fees, which are currently in effect at the
Southside Landfill, will be suspended during the week of May 11 through May 18,
1991 for all City and County residents who take neighborhood and yard refuse
to the landfill for disposal. All users of the landfill will still be subject
to the state imposed tipping fee as is currently charged per vehicle.
SECTION 3:
All other users of the landfill, including but not limited to, commercial
trash haulers, commercial tree trimmers and local businesses that dispose of
used tires, shall still be subject to the tipping fees in effect at the Southside
Landfill during the week of the clean up campaign.
SECTION 4:
This resolution shall become effective immediately upon final approval.
