A RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONTRACT
FOR THE HIGHWAY BEAUTIFICATION
5TH STREET TO 13TH STREET AND
AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING AGENT
TO EXECUTE THE SAME
WHEREAS, proposals for Highway Beautification 5th Street to
13th Street have been received and examined; and
WHEREAS, the proposal of Star Property and Landscape Company
of Pueblo, Colorado, was the lowest and most responsible bid; now,
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1.
A contract for Highway Beautification from 5th Street to 13th
Street be, and the same is hereby awarded to Star Property and
Landscape Company in the amount of $30,969.59. The awarding of the
contract for the project set forth herein shall be subject to
sufficient sureties to be approved by the Purchasing Agent of the
said City.
SECTION 2.
The Purchasing Agent be, and he is hereby authorized to
execute said contract on behalf of Pueblo, a Municipal Corporation,
and the City Clerk shall affix the seal of the City thereto and
attest the same.
SECTION 3.
In addition to the amount of the bid set forth as
aforementioned, an additional amount, as stipulated in this Section,
is hereby established for contingencies:
Contractors' Bid Contingencies - - - $3,096.00
SECTION 4
Funds for said project shall be paid from the Highway
Beautification Account, Account Number 001 - 0190 - 190 -0 -030 -1227.
