HomeMy WebLinkAbout6556RESOLUTION NO. 6556 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DE OBLIGATION OF FEDERAL FUNDS FROM THE UMTA FISCAL YEAR 1987 CAPITAL AND OPERATING APPORTIONMENTS WHEREAS, the City of Pueblo, Colorado received in UMTA Fiscal Year 1987 Capital and Operating Apportionments; and WHEREAS, the City of Pueblo, Colorado excess funds from UMTA Fiscal Year 1987 Capital and Operating Apportionment funds can be de obligated and be utilized by other transit providers; and WHEREAS, in order to use said funds for needed public transportation projects and services in Colorado prior to the lapse of its obligational authority on September 30, 1990; and WHEREAS, it is understood that this transfer action is being taken in the interest of preserving Section 9 funds for needed public mass transportation projects within the State of Colorado and that it does not give rise to any future obligations by the State of Colorado or other Designated Recipients to transfer, allocate or reformulate any funds to bring about a return of the amount transferred by this resolution to the City of Pueblo, Colorado, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, COLORADO, that: SECTION 1. Any amount of Fiscal Year 1987 Capital and Operating Apportionments not obligated on June 30, 1990 shall be de- obligated from the City of Pueblo. SECTION 2. All de obligated funds shall be transferred to the State of Colorado for redistribution within the State, consistent with all applicable State and Federal limitations, procedures and requirements.
