PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: Resolution 15779, dated October 15, 2024, awarded an agreement for Professional Engineering Services in the amount of $262,925.00 to RESPEC Company, LLC for the design and analysis of drainage improvements to the State Fair and Bessemer Neighborhood. Resolution 15853, dated December 23, 2024, approved amendment No. 1 to the Agreement for Professional Engineering Services in the amount of $85,466.00 to RESPEC Company, LLC for the design and analysis of drainage improvements to the State Fair and Bessemer Neighborhood. Resolution 16333, dated May 26, 2026, approved amendment No. 3 to the Agreement for Professional Engineering Services in the amount of $719,230.00 to RESPEC Company, LLC for the design and analysis of drainage improvements to the State Fair Docusign Envelope ID: 602DEAEB-B93D-8404-81 FA-DC51379C5C10 and Bessemer Neighborhood. BACKGROUND: Upon kickoff of the Summit Avenue Realignment Preliminary Design Phase, it was identified by City Staff and RESPEC that to intercept the flows at the intersection of Beulah Avenue and Summit Avenue would require a large amount of inlets. Based on a professional recommendation from our consultants, this amendment is to cover additional survey needed upstream of the intersection to start the proposed stormwater system earlier than originally intended to intercept and collect stormwater flows. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: Funding in the amount of $38,786.00 will be paid from SW2003 — Replacement — Summit St PH 1. BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: Not Applicable to this Resolution. STAKEHOLDER PROCESS: Not Applicable to this Resolution. ALTERNATIVES: Denial of this Resolution will result in a large inlet system at the single intersection instead of collecting flows upstream. RECOMMENDATION: Approval of the Resolution. ATTACHMENTS: 1. 24-098 RESPEC Amendment No 6
