A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PAYMENT FROM THE
COUNCIL CONTINGENCIES ACCOUNT IN THE 2026 GENERAL
FUND BUDGET TO PUEBLO COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER
FOUNDATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,500 TO SPONSOR THE
FIESTA FUNDRAISER -A DUELING PIANOS SHOW AT THE
SANGRE DE CRISTO ARTS AND CONFERENCE CENTER, ON
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 16, 2026, FROM 6:00 TO 9:00 PM
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that
SECTION 1.
Payment in the amount of $1,500 from the Council Contingencies Account in the 2026
General Fund Budget is authorized to be paid to Pueblo Community Health Center Foundation
to sponsor the Fiesta Fundraiser —A Dueling Pianos Show at the Sangre de Cristo Arts and
Conference Center, on Friday, October 16, 2026, from 6:00 to 9:00 pm.
SECTION 2.
The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent
with the intent of this Resolution to effectuate the policies and procedures described herein.
SECTION 3.
This Resolution shall become effective upon passage and approval.

SUMMARY:
Attached for consideration is a request for support of Pueblo Community Health Center
Foundation in the amount of $1,500 to sponsor the Fiesta Fundraiser —A Dueling
Pianos Show at the Sangre de Cristo Arts and Conference Center, on Friday, October
16, 2026, from 6:00 to 9:00 PM.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
None.
BACKGROUND:
City Council Member Ted Hernandez is requesting $1,500 to sponsor Pueblo
Community Health Center Foundation's Fiesta Fundraiser —A Dueling Pianos Show.
The fundraiser will take place at the Sangre de Cristo Arts and Conference Center, on
Friday, October 16, 2026, from 6:00 to 9:00 PM.
Pueblo Community Health Center Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) that exists to raise funds to
support Pueblo Community Health Center's programs and projects in order to provide
primary care to those in need. The health center serves all citizens of Pueblo County,
regardless of their ability to pay or their insurance status.
In the past year, PCHC has partnered to provide health care services at the shelter.
Comprehensive services are provided to all patients, including primary medical, dental,

behavioral health, pharmacy, lab, and case management. They have locations
throughout Pueblo and are accepting new patients without a waiting list.
The Fiesta Fundraiser —A Dueling Pianos Show is an annual fundraising event
featuring a silent auction, dinner, and live entertainment. The doors open at 6 p.m. and
food is served buffet style. Bars are also open, and each participant receives two drink
tickets. The show kicks off promptly at 7:00 PM after brief comments and
acknowledgments by the PCHC CEO.
The estimated cost to hold the event this year is $20,000. Funds raised will be used to
support programs and priority projects for Pueblo Community Health Center, and they
have so far received $44,400 in sponsorships and donations. This sponsorship tier
includes a table for 8.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
Payment of funds in the amount of $1,500 would be paid from the Council
Contingencies Account in the 2026 General Fund Budget to Pueblo Community Health
Center Foundation.

City Council could choose not to authorize funding for this purpose.
RECOMMENDATION:
This Resolution is at the request of Council Member Ted Hernandez.
