A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT BY THE
MAYOR OF JANELLE QUICK AND SHANNON VARGAS TO
SERVE A THREE-YEAR TERM EXPIRING AUGUST 31, 2029,
ON THE EL CENTRO DEL QUINTO SOL RECREATION
CENTER BOARD OF DIRECTORS
WHEREAS, Mayor Heather Graham has requested confirmation by the City Council of
her appointment of Janelle Quick and Shannon Vargas to the El Centro del Quinto Sol
Recreation Center Board of Directors; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that
SECTION 1.
The appointment by the Mayor of Janelle Quick and Shannon Vargas to the El Centro
del Quinto Sol Recreation Center Board of Directors to serve a three-year term expiring August
31, 2029, shall be and is hereby confirmed by the City Council.
SECTION 2.
The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent
with this Resolution to implement the appointments described herein.
SECTION 3.
This Resolution shall become effective on the date of final action by the Mayor and City
Council.

SUMMARY:
This Resolution confirms the appointment by the Mayor of Janelle Quick and Shannon
Vargas to serve a three-year term expiring August 31, 2029, on the El Centro del
Quinto Sol Recreation Center Board of Directors.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
The Mayor has made appointments to boards and commissions selecting individuals to
serve terms which expire during a particular calendar year and presented them to
Council for approval.
BACKGROUND:
Due to the term expiration of Janelle Quick and the removal of Joe Latino, there are two
positions available on this board. Ms. Quick is eligible for reappointment.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
This is a volunteer committee and members serve without compensation.
