RESOLUTION NO. 16398
A RESOLUTION SETTING FORTH $70,000 FOR
CONTINGENCIES FOR PROJECT 25-020, PUB TAXILANE
REHAB AND NEW HANGAR
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that
SECTION 1.
An additional amount of Seventy Thousand and 00/100 Dollars ($70,000.00) is hereby
established for contingencies and additional work under the construction contract with H.W.
Houston Construction, LLC for Project No. 25-020, PUB Taxilane Rehab and New Hangar,
which contract was approved by Resolution No. 16145 on October 14, 2025 in the amount of
$2,372,832.16. The total amount authorized for that contract, inclusive of the contingency
established by this Resolution, shall not exceed $2,442,832.16.
Contingencies and Additional Work.................$70,000.00
SECTION 2
Funds for Contingencies and Additional Work shall be from Project No. AP1804 — South
T -Hangar #1.
SECTION 3.
The Officers of the City of Pueblo are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent
with this Resolution to implement the policies and procedures described herein.
SECTION 4
This Resolution shall become effective upon final passage and approval.

SUBJECT: A RESOLUTION SETTING FORTH $70,000 FOR CONTINGENCIES
FOR PROJECT 25-020, PUB TAXILANE REHAB AND NEW HANGAR
SUMMARY:
This Resolution will set forth $70,000 for contingencies for Project 25-020, PUB
Taxilane Rehab and New Hangar.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
Ordinance No. 9308, passed and approved on July 9, 2018, established Project No.
AP1804 — South T -Hangar #1 budgeting and appropriating funds from insurance claim
for damage to t -hangars on the east ramp.
Ordinance No. 10728, passed and approved on June 25, 2024, accepted CDOT Grant
24 -PUB -01 to reimburse the City 2.5% of the total design cost to building new t -
hangars.
Ordinance No. 10774, passed and approved on September 9, 2024, accepted FAA
grant No. 3-08-0046-051-2024 to reimburse the City 95% of the total design cost to
build new t -hangars.
Ordinance No. 10812, passed and approved on October 15, 2024, approved a sub -
agreement for Professional Engineering Services between the City of Pueblo and
Dibble and Associates Consulting Engineers, Inc., for engineering design services for
the project.
Ordinance No. 10971, passed and approved on June 23, 2025, accepted CDOT Grant
25 -PUB -01 to reimburse the City 2.5% of the total construction cost.
Ordinance No. 11038, passed and approved on September 8, 2025, accepted FAA
grant No. 3-08-0046-052-2025 to reimburse the City 95% of the total construction cost.

Ordinance No. 11055, passed and approved on October 14, 2025, approved a sub -
agreement for Professional Engineering Services between the City of Pueblo and
Dibble and Associates Consulting Engineers, Inc., for Construction Administration.
Resolution No. 16145, approved on October 14, 2025, awarded a construction contract
to H.W. Houston, LLC, for construction of the new t -hangars.
BACKGROUND:
The City of Pueblo awarded a construction contract to H.W. Houston Construction, LLC
for Project No. 25-020, PUB Taxilane Rehab and New Hangar, in the amount of
$2,372,832.16. The attached resolution sets forth $70,000 for contingencies and
additional work.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
Funding for the contingency amount has been budgeted and allocated in previous
ordinances.
