RESOLUTION 14O. 4709
A RESOLUTION APPROVING AND ACCEPTING THE
CANVASS OF THE SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION
HELD ON NOVEMBER 4, 1980, MADE BY THE
BOARD OF ELECTION
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 5-1-115 of the 1971 Code of
Ordinances of the City of Pueblo, as amended, the Board of Election
met on November 6, 1980, as a canvassing board to canvass the re-
sults of said election; and
WHEREAS, said Board of Election has completed its canvass
and unanimously passed its resolution certifying the votes and de-
claring the results of voting at said Special Municipal Election;
now, therefore,
that:
SECTION 1.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, COLORADO,
The Resolution of the Board of Election unanimously passed
on November 6, 1980, certifying the votes and declaring the results
of voting at said Special Municipal Election, a copy of which is
attached hereto, is hereby approved and the designation of results
therein contained are hereby accepted and adopted.
SECTION 2.
This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon
its adoption.

A RESOLUTION CERTIFYING THE VOTES AND
DECLARING THE RESULTS OF VOTING AT A
SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD ON
NOVEMBER 4, 1980
WHEREAS, the Board of Election met on November 6, 1980,
as the Canvassing Board of the Special Municipal Election held in
the City of Pueblo, Colorado on November 4, 1980, pursuant to
Section 5-1-115 of the 1971 Code of Ordinances of the City of
Pueblo, as amended, and
WHEREAS, the Board of Election proceeded to canvass the
votes cast at said Special Municipal Election and to make an abstract
thereof; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ELECTION, that:
SECTION 1.
The following votes are unanimously certified:
CHARTER AMENDMENTS '
Amendment No. 1: For 17,039
Against 16,618
Amendment No. 2: For 12,552
Against 20,206
SECTION 2.
Charter Amendment No. 1, having received a majority of
votes cast thereon, is hereby declared duly passed. Charter Amend-
ment No. 2, having received less than a majority of votes cast
thereon, did not pass.
SECTION 3.
The statements from the abstract of votes prepared by the
City Clerk are hereby approved and each member of the Board of
Election shall affix his or her signature thereto certifying same to be
correct and shall endorse and subscribe on such statements their cer-
tification of determination required by Section 5-1-119(1) of the
1971 Code of Ordinances of the City of Pueblo, as amended.
ADOPTED this 6th day of November, 1980.
