RESOLUTION NO. 16355
A RESOLUTION APPROVING COMPENSATION WITH
RESPECT TO A LEGAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH SGR,
LLC
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that
SECTION 1.
Compensation set forth in the Legal Services Agreement with SGR, LLC, a copy of
which is attached hereto, is hereby approved.
SECTION 2.
The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent
with the intent of this Resolution to effectuate the policies and procedures described herein.

SUBJECT: A RESOLUTION APPROVING COMPENSATION WITH RESPECT TO A
LEGAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH SGR, LLC
SUMMARY:
This Resolution approves compensation set forth in the Legal Services Agreement with
SGR, LLC, a copy of which is attached hereto.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
Not applicable.
BACKGROUND:
Pursuant to Section 6-7 of the City Charter, special council is retained solely by the City
Attorney but compensation is approved by City Council. The law firm of SGR, LLC is
being retained to provide general litigation consultation to the Law Department. To
conserve the Law Department's budget for professional services, the Law Department
is and will be handling some litigation matters in-house. While the work will be
completed by the Law Department, SGR, LLC will be on retainer to consult regarding
litigation matters.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
This firm's standard hourly billing rates for this engagement are: $265 for Eric Ziporin
(Partner), $225 for Associates, and $125 for Paralegals.
