SUBJECT: A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE REAPPOINTMENT BY THE
MAYOR OF YVONNE LUJAN-SLAK TO SERVE A FOUR-YEAR TERM
EXPIRING JUNE 30, 2030, ON THE ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS
SUMMARY:
This Resolution confirms the reappointment by the Mayor of Yvonne Lujan-Slak to
serve a four-year term expiring June 30, 2030, on the Zoning Board of Appeals.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
The Mayor has made appointments to boards and commissions selecting individuals to
serve terms which expire during a particular calendar year and presented them to
Council for approval.
BACKGROUND:
Due to the term expiration of Yvonne Lujan-Slak, there is one position available to
serve a four-year term expiring June 30, 2030, on the Zoning Board of Appeals.
Ms. Lujan-Slak is term-limited and has not sat out the full term as required per Reso
not serve again on the same board or commission until a subsequent full term has
transpired, unless the Mayor determines that there are no new applicants who are
Ms. Lujan-Slak if deemed necessary.
Ms. Lujan-Slak was the only applicant for this position.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
Zoning Board of Appeals members receive as compensation $25.00 for each regular or
special meeting attended. The Chairman of the Board receives an additional sum of
25.00 per month for each month of service as Chairman. These monies are allocated in

ALTERNATIVES:
Remove from the agenda and re-advertise for additional applications. This would result
in a vacancy on the Zoning Board of Appeals until the position is filled.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approval of the Resolution.

RESOLUTION NO. 16338
A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE REAPPOINTMENT BY THE
MAYOR OF YVONNE LUJAN-SLAK TO SERVE A FOUR-YEAR
TERM EXPIRING JUNE 30, 2030, ON THE ZONING BOARD OF
APPEALS
WHEREAS, Mayor Heather Graham has requested confirmation by the City Council of her
reappointment of Yvonne Lujan-Slak to the Zoning Board of Appeals; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that
SECTION 1.
The appointment by the Mayor of Yvonne Lujan-Slak to the Zoning Board of Appeals to
serve a three-year term expiring June 30, 2030, shall be and is hereby confirmed by the City
Council.
SECTION 2.
The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent
with this Resolution to implement the appointments described herein.
SECTION 3.
This Resolution shall become effective on the date of final action by the Mayor and City
Council.
