A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF A
REVOCABLE PERMIT (REV-26-7) TO THE INTERNATIONAL
SOAP BOX DERBY/PIKES PEAK SOAP BOX DERBY FOR THE
USE OF JOPLIN HILL STARTING JUST NORTH OF E. 3RD ST.
AND ENDING JUST SOUTH OF E ASH ST., BLOCKING
INTERSECTING STREETS E. 3RD ST. E. 2ND ST., E 1ST ST.,
E. RIVER ST. AND E ASH ST. TO HOST THE SOAP BOX
DERBY
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that
SFCTION 1
The attached Revocable Permit (REV-26-7) is authorized to be issued to the
International Soap Box Derby/Pikes Peak Soap Box Derby for the use of Joplin Hill starting just
north of E. 3rd St. and ending just south of E Ash St., blocking intersecting streets E. 3rd St. E.
2nd St., E 1 st St., E. River St. and E Ash St. to host the Soap Box Derby June 5, 2026, at 12:00
p.m. to June 7, 2026, at 7:00 p.m.
SFCTION 2_
The use of the public right-of-way granted hereby is subject to all limitations, terms, and
conditions set forth in the attached Revocable Permit.
SECTION 3.
The officers of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with the
intent of this Resolution to implement the policies and procedures described herein.
SECTION 4.
This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage and approval.

SUMMARY:
Attached is a Revocable Permit submitted by the International Soap Box Derby/Pikes
Peak Soap Box Derby.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
None.
BACKGROUND:
The International Soap Box Derby/Pikes Peak Soap Box Derby has submitted a
Revocable Permit (REV-26-7) for the use of Joplin Hill starting just north of E. 3rd St.
and ending just south of E Ash St., blocking intersecting streets E. 3rd St. E. 2nd St., E
1st St., E. River St. and E Ash St. to host the Soap Box Derby June 5, 2026, at 12.00
p.m. to June 7, 2026, at 7.00 p.m.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
None.
BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION:
The Revocable Permit Review Committee recommends approval.

STAKEHOLDER PROCESS:
None.
ALTERNATIVES:
Failure to approve the Resolution will prevent the applicant from utilizing the right-of-
way to host their soap box derby.
