TO MAD FRESH PRODUCTIONS IN THE AMOUNT OF $2,500 TO
SPONSOR THE 4TH ANNUAL HIP HOP FESTIVAL AT 11.00 AM AT
MINERAL PALACE PARK ON SATURDAY, JULY 18, 2026
SUMMARY:
Attached for consideration is a request for support of Mad Fresh Productions in the
amount of $2,500 to sponsor the 4th Annual Hip Hop Festival at 11.00 AM at Mineral
Palace Park on Saturday, July 18, 2026.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
Council supported this event in 2025 for $2,500, in 2024 for $2,000, and in 2023 for
$1,500.
BACKGROUND:
City Council Member Joe Latino is requesting $2,500 to sponsor Mad Fresh Productions
4th Annual Hip Hop Festival. The free event will take place on July 18, 2026, starting at
11.00 AM at Mineral Palace Park.
Their mission is to harness the transformative power of the arts to build bridges between
communities and inspire future leaders. Through innovative programs that integrate
culture, movement, music, design, and storytelling, they aim to foster inclusive spaces
where diversity is celebrated, individual voices are elevated, and meaningful connections
span across age groups. Their work promotes holistic wellness while empowering the
next generation through creative expression.
The Annual Hip Hop Festival is a free, family -friendly community event, organized wit the
goal of uplifting and empowering youth through culturally responsive arts programming.
The festival has become a trusted space for creativity, connection, and positive

engagement, and serves young people —particularly those from historically underserved
communities —by providing safe, inclusive opportunities to build confidence, leadership
skills, and positive peer connections through hip -hop culture.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
Payment of funds in the amount of $2,500 would be paid from the Council Contingencies
Account in the 2026 General Fund Budget to Mad Fresh Productions.

ALTERNATIVES:
City Council could choose not to authorize funding for this purpose.
RECOMMENDATION:
This Resolution is at the request of Council Member Joe Latino.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that
SECTION 1
Payment in the amount of $2,500 from the Council Contingencies Account in the 2026
General Fund Budget is authorized to be paid to Mad Fresh Productions to sponsor the 4th Annual
Hip Hop Festival at 11:00 AM at Mineral Palace Park on Saturday, July 18, 2026.
SECTION 2_
The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with
the intent of this Resolution to effectuate the policies and procedures described herein.
SECTION 3.
This Resolution shall become effective upon passage and approval.
