SUBJECT: AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AN AGREEMENT TO DONATE
PROPERTY AND RELEASE OF CLAIMS BETWEEN THE CITY OF
PUEBLO, A COLORADO MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, AND VILLA
BELLA EXPEDITIONARY SCHOOL, A COLORADO NONPROFIT
CORPORATION, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE
SAME
SUMMARY:
This Ordinance approves a Donation Agreement between the City of Pueblo and Villa
Bella Expeditionary outlining terms and conditions related to a private donation for the
Villa Bella Expeditionary School.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
None.
BACKGROUND:
The City of Pueblo purchased the property at 101 West Riverwalk, previously known as
the PBR Building. In the building, the previous owners used Verkada equipment for their
security system. The City uses a system by CIX Security and when updating the building
during the remodel, all Verkada system equipment and components were
removed. These items are of no value to the City because they can only be utilized by
existing similar systems and require other components to operate. The potential of
obtaining any funds for the equipment is very unlikely. The Donation Agreement being
approved by this Ordinance outlines terms and conditions between the parties related to
the donation.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
None. Under the Agreement, the City of Pueblo would donate the unusable Verkada
equipment to Villa Bella Expeditionary School.

Not applicable to this Ordinance.
STAKEHOLDER PROCESS:
Not applicable to this Ordinance.
ALTERNATIVES:
Failure to approve the Ordinance will prevent the City from entering into the Agreement
with the Villa Bella Expeditionary School.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approval of the Ordinance.

TO EXECUTE SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1,
The Donation Agreement between the City of Pueblo, a Colorado Municipal Corporation,
and Villa Bella Expeditionary School, a Colorado Nonprofit Corporation, a copy of which is
attached hereto (hereinafter referred to as the "Agreement"), having been approved as to form by
the City Attorney, is hereby approved.
SECTION 2.
The Mayor is authorized to execute and deliver the Agreement in the name of the City of
Pueblo and the City Clerk is directed to affix the seal of the City thereto and attest same.
SECTION 3.
The officers of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with this
Ordinance and the Agreement to implement the policies and procedures described therein.
SECTION 4.
This Ordinance shall become effective on the date of final action by the Mayor and City
Council.
