SUBJECT: AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING PROJECT NO. CI2613 - EMPLOYEE
CLINIC RENOVATIONS, TRANSFERRING $60,000 FROM THE
UNAPPROPRIATED FUND BALANCE OF THE HEALTH SELF
INSURANCE FUND, AND BUDGETING AND APPROPRIATING SAID
FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $60,000 TO PROJECT NO. CI2613
SUMMARY:
This Ordinance establishes Project No. CI2613 - Employee Clinic Renovations, transfers
$60,000.00 from the unappropriated fund balance of the Health Self Insurance Fund, and
budgets and appropriates total funds in the amount of $60,000.00 into the newly created
project account.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
None.
BACKGROUND:
The City intends to establish a new medical clinic to provide certain healthcare services
to City employees as well as occupational health services at the City-owned building
located at 650 Dittmer Ave. The prospective medical service provider has identified
some minor facility repairs and updates that will be necessary to prepare the building for
its proposed use. These include removal of equipment, drywall patching and painting,
installation of cabinet locks, installation of doors, installation of privacy "frosting" on
interior glass panels, and other similar work on the first floor of the building. Some of the
work will be performed by City staff and some will be performed by contracted vendors.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
Funds in the amount of $60,000.00 will be transferred from the unappropriated fund
balance of the Health Self Insurance Fund and budgeted and appropriated into the newly
created project account.

Not applicable to this Ordinance.
STAKEHOLDER PROCESS:
Not applicable to this Ordinance.
ALTERNATIVES:
Failure to approve this Ordinance will prevent the allocation of funding necessary to
complete the renovation work on the first floor of the building at 650 Dittmer Avenue.

HEALTH SELF INSURANCE FUND, AND BUDGETING AND

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1.
Project No. CI2613 - Employee Clinic Renovations, is hereby established.
SECTION 2.
Funds in the amount of $60,000.00 are hereby transferred from the unappropriated fund
balance of the Health Self Insurance Fund and budgeted and appropriated into Project No.
CI2613 - Employee Clinic Renovations.
SECTION 3.
The officers of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with this
Ordinance to implement the policies and procedures described herein.
SECTION 4.
This Ordinance shall become effective on the date of final action by the Mayor and City
Council.
