AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A QUIT CLAIM DEED BETWEEN
THE CITY OF PUEBLO, A COLORADO MUNICIPAL
CORPORATION AND GOODNIGHT BARN HISTORIC
PRESERVATION, INC. TRANSFERRING CITY-OWNED
PROPERTY AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE
SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1.
The City Council hereby finds and concludes that the land described in Exhibit A of this
Ordinance and the proposed Quit Claim Deed, commonly known as the Goodnight Barn Property,
may be transferred without detriment to the City. The Quit Claim Deed, dated February 23, 2026,
between the City and Goodnight Barn Historic Preservation, Inc. a copy of which is attached
hereto and incorporated herein by this reference, having been approved as to form by the City
Attorney, is hereby approved.
SECTION 2.
The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute and deliver the Quit Claim Deed in the name
of the City of Pueblo and the City Clerk is directed to affix the seal of the City thereto and attest
same.
SECTION 3.
The officers and staff of the City are directed and authorized to perform any and all acts
consistent with the intent of this Ordinance and the attached Quit Claim Deed which are necessary
or desirable to effectuate the transaction described therein.
SECTION 4.
This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon final passage.
