SUBJECT: THE RESOLUTION AUTHORIZES THE MAYOR TO MAKE, EXECUTE
AND DELIVER IN THE NAME OF THE CITY OF PUEBLO, A COLORADO
MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, FEDERAL FISCAL YEAR 2026
CERTIFICATIONS AND ASSURANCES FOR FEDERAL TRANSIT
ADMINISTRATION (FTA) ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS AND TO BIND
SUMMARY:
The Resolution authorizes the Mayor to make, execute and deliver in the name of the
City of Pueblo, A Colorado Municipal Corporation, Federal Fiscal Year 2026
Certifications and Assurances for Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Assistance
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Certifications and Assurances are approved by City
Council on an annual basis.
BACKGROUND:
Assurances must be approved and binding on the City for all Federal assistance
programs FTA administers during Federal Fiscal year 2026, as required by 49 U.S.C.
5323(n).
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
allocation of $3,100,000 for Transit Operating funds for calendar year 2026.
BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION:
Pueblo Transit Board of Directors approve this Resolution.
STAKEHOLDER PROCESS:
None.
ALTERNATIVES:
None.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approval of the Resolution.

THE RESOLUTION AUTHORIZES THE MAYOR TO MAKE,
EXECUTE AND DELIVER IN THE NAME OF THE CITY OF
PUEBLO, A COLORADO MUNICIPAL CORPORATION,
FEDERAL FISCAL YEAR 2026 CERTIFICATIONS AND
ASSURANCES FOR FEDERAL TRANSIT ADMINISTRATION
(FTA) ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS AND TO BIND THE CITY OF
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that
SECTION 1.
The City Council of Pueblo approves, and the Mayor is authorized to make, execute, and
deliver in the name of the City of Pueblo, A Colorado Municipal Corporation, Federal Fiscal Year
2026 Certifications and Assurances for Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Assistance
SECTION 2.
The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with
this Resolution to implement the policies and procedures described
SECTION 3.
This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon final passage and approval
