HomeMy WebLinkAbout16297 City Clerk's Office Item # M7 Background Paper for Proposed Resolution COUNCIL MEETING DATE: April 13, 2026 TO: President Mark Aliff and Members of City Council CC: Mayor Heather Graham VIA: Clyde Bishop, City Clerk FROM: Alyssa Parga, Executive Assistant to the Mayor SUBJECT: A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT BY THE MAYOR OF ROSALIE VIGNA TO SERVE A TERM ON THE BANDERA SPECIAL IMPROVEMENT MAINTENANCE DISTRICT ADVISORY COMMITTEE SUMMARY: This Resolution confirms the appointment by the Mayor of Rosalie Vigna to serve an indefinite term on the Bandera Special Improvement Maintenance District Advisory Committee. PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: The Mayor has made appointments to boards and commissions selecting individuals to serve terms which are left vacant due to resignations during a particular calendar year and presented them to Council for approval. BACKGROUND: Incumbent Ted Hernandez resigned due to the conflict of also being a City Councilor, leaving one appointment available to serve on the Bandera Special Improvement Maintenance District Advisory Committee. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: This is a volunteer committee and members serve without compensation. BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: N/A STAKEHOLDER PROCESS: N/A ALTERNATIVES: Remove from the agenda and re-advertise for additional applications. RECOMMENDATION: Approval of the Resolution. ATTACHMENTS: None RESOLUTION NO. 16297 A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT BY THE MAYOR OF ROSALIE VIGNA TO SERVE A TERM ON THE BANDERA SPECIAL IMPROVEMENT MAINTENANCE DISTRICT ADVISORY COMMITTEE WHEREAS, Mayor Heather Graham has requested confirmation by the City Council of her appointment of Rosalie Vigna to the Bandera Special Improvement Maintenance District Advisory Committee NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that SECTION 1. The appointment by the Mayor of Rosalie Vigna to serve an indefinite term on the Bandera Special Improvement Maintenance District Advisory Committee shall be and is hereby confirmed by the City Council. SECTION 2. The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with this Resolution to implement the appointments described herein. SECTION 3. This Resolution shall become effective on the date of final action by the Mayor and City Council.
