SUBJECT: AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AND ACCEPTING A SPECIAL
WARRANTY DEED FROM NEIGHBORHOOD HOUSING SERVICES OF
PUEBLO, INC., A COLORADO NONPROFIT CORPORATION, D/B/A
NEIGHBORWORKS OF PUEBLO, N/K/A NEIGHBORWORKS
SOUTHERN COLORADO, INC., A COLORADO NONPROFIT
CORPORATION, FOR 1.75 ACRES OF LAND IN THE PIKES PEAK
PARK, FILING NO. 1 SUBDIVISION
SUMMARY:
This Ordinance will authorize the City to accept a Special Warranty Deed for 1.75 acres
of land to be conveyed to the City of Pueblo from the current land owner, Neighborhood
Housing Services of Pueblo, Inc.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
None.
BACKGROUND:
This Ordinance authorizes the City to accept a Special Warranty Deed for 1.75 acres of
land to be conveyed to the City of Pueblo from the current land owner, Neighborhood
Housing Services of Pueblo, Inc. The property was to be conveyed at the time Pikes
Peak Park Filing No. 1 Subdivision was recorded, but execution of the Deed was not
completed at that time. This action will formalize the conveyance of the property to the
City as originally intended.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
None.

Not applicable to this Ordinance.
STAKEHOLDER PROCESS:
Not applicable to this Ordinance.
ALTERNATIVES:
If this Ordinance is not approved, the City will not accept the Deed and ownership of the
parcel will not be conveyed to the City.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approval of the Ordinance.

AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AND ACCEPTING A SPECIAL

CORPORATION, D/B/A NEIGHBORWORKS OF PUEBLO, N/K/A
NEIGHBORWORKS SOUTHERN COLORADO, INC., A
COLORADO NONPROFIT CORPORATION, FOR 1.75 ACRES
OF LAND IN THE PIKES PEAK PARK, FILING NO. 1
SUBDIVISION
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1.
The Special Warranty Deed ("Deed") conveying a parcel of land to the City of Pueblo, a
copy of which is attached hereto, having been approved as to form by the City Attorney, is hereby
approved and accepted.
SECTION 2.
The City Clerk is directed to cause said Deed to be recorded in the office of the Pueblo
County Clerk and Recorder forthwith.
SECTION 3.
The officers of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with this
Resolution to implement the policies and procedures described herein.
SECTION 4.
This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage and approval.
