SUBJECT: AN ORDINANCE BUDGETING AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS IN THE
AMOUNT OF $5,000 FROM THE EL POMAR FOUNDATION INTO
PROJECT NO. CI2520 - HEALTHY EATING KITCHEN PROGRAM AT
THE EL CENTRO DEL QUINTO SOL COMMUNITY CENTER
SUMMARY:
This Ordinance budgets and appropriates funds in the amount of $5,000.00 for the
Elevating Leadership Development (ELD) Merit Grant from the El Pomar Foundation for
the El Centro del Quinto Sol Community Center.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
On November 10, 2025, City Council approved Resolution 16169 accepting a grant
award of $5,000 for the El Centro del Quinto Sol Community Center from the El Pomar
Foundation for the Healthy Eating Kitchen Program.
BACKGROUND:
The previously approved Resolution accepted the El Pomar Foundation grant to Project
No. CI2520 but did not budget and appropriate the funds to said project.

AN ORDINANCE BUDGETING AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS IN
THE AMOUNT OF $5,000 FROM THE EL POMAR FOUNDATION
INTO PROJECT NO. CI2520 - HEALTHY EATING KITCHEN
PROGRAM AT THE EL CENTRO DEL QUINTO SOL
COMMUNITY CENTER
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1.
All funds accepted pursuant to this Ordinance shall be budgeted and appropriated into
Project No. CI2520. Said funds shall only be expended and used for this project.
SECTION 2.
The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with
the intent of this Ordinance to implement the policies and procedures described herein.
SECTION 3.
This Ordinance shall become effective on the date of final action by the Mayor and City
Council.

Final adoption of Ordinance by City Council on January 12, 2026.
