SUBJECT: A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT BY THE MAYOR
OF DR. KATHY DENIRO TO SERVE A FIVE-YEAR TERM EXPIRING
FEBRUARY 1, 2031, ON THE PUEBLO URBAN RENEWAL AUTHORITY
SUMMARY:
This Resolution confirms the appointment by the Mayor of Dr. Kathy Deniro to serve a
five-year term expiring February 1, 2031, on the Pueblo Urban Renewal Authority.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
The Mayor has made appointments to boards and commissions selecting individuals to
serve terms which expire during a particular calendar year and presented them to
Council for approval.
BACKGROUND:
Due to the term expiration of Jeanette Garcia, there is one appointment available to serve
a term on the Pueblo Urban Renewal Authority Board. The deadline for applications was
December 29, 2025.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
This is a volunteer committee and members serve without compensation.

Remove from the agenda and re-advertise for additional applications.

RESOLUTION NO. 16230
A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT BY THE
MAYOR OF DR. KATHY DENIRO TO SERVE A FIVE-YEAR TERM
EXPIRING FEBRUARY 1, 2031, ON THE PUEBLO URBAN
RENEWAL AUTHORITY
WHEREAS, Mayor Heather Graham has requested confirmation by the City Council of her
appointment of Dr. Kathy Deniro to the Pueblo Urban Renewal Authority; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that
SECTION 1.
The appointment by the Mayor of Dr. Kathy Deniro to the Pueblo Urban Renewal Authority
to serve a five-year term expiring February 1, 2031 shall be and is hereby confirmed by the City
Council.
SECTION 2.
The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with
this Resolution to implement the appointments described herein.
SECTION 3.
This Resolution shall become effective on the date of final action by the Mayor and City
Council.
