SUBJECT: A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PAYMENT FROM THE COUNCIL
CONTINGENCIES ACCOUNT IN THE 2025 GENERAL FUND BUDGET
TO ROCKY MOUNTAIN SER/JOBS FOR PROGRESS INC. IN THE
AMOUNT OF $5,000 TO SPONSOR THEIR FOOD PANTRY AT 330
LAKE AVENUE
SUMMARY:
Attached for consideration is a request for support of Rocky Mountain SER/Jobs for
in the amount of $5,000 to sponsor their Food Pantry at 330 Lake Avenue.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
Council supported RMSER's Youth Kickback events in 2024 for $1,000.
BACKGROUND:
Pantry at 330 Lake Avenue.
The food pantry is open Wednesday and Friday from 4 to 6 pm. No ID is required.
Individuals 10 years and older are able to shop for food items. The Pantry strives to give
out fresh produce when available; breads, frozen meats, frozen plant-based, baby
formula, diapers/pull-ups/wipes/adult incontinence products, pet food, shelf-stable foods
(boxed & canned) and a variety of drinks are available. On a typical Wednesday, they
serve about 160 families. On October 22nd, they served 256 families and gave out 4,600
pounds of food in a 2-hour period.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
Payment of funds in the amount of $5,000 would be paid from the Council Contingencies
Account in the 2025 General Fund Budget to Rocky Mountain SER/Jobs for Progress
Inc.

City Council could choose not to authorize funding for this purpose.
RECOMMENDATION:
This Resolution is at the request of Council Member Sarah Martinez.

RESOLUTION NO. 16178
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PAYMENT FROM THE
COUNCIL CONTINGENCIES ACCOUNT IN THE 2025 GENERAL
FUND BUDGET TO ROCKY MOUNTAIN SER/JOBS FOR
PROGRESS INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF $5,000 TO SPONSOR
THEIR FOOD PANTRY AT 330 LAKE AVENUE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that
SECTION 1.
Payment in the amount of $5,000 from the Council Contingencies Account in the 2025
General Fund Budget is authorized to be paid to Rocky Mountain SER/Jobs for Progress Inc. to
sponsor the RMSER Food Pantry from at 330 Lake Avenue.
SECTION 2.
The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with
the intent of this Resolution to effectuate the policies and procedures described herein.
SECTION 3.
This Resolution shall become effective upon passage and approval.
