SUBJECT: A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A GRANT AWARD OF $5,000 FOR EL CENTRO DEL
QUINTO SOL COMMUNITY CENTER FROM THE EL POMAR FOUNDATION
SUMMARY:
Attached is a Resolution authorizing the City of Pueblo to accept an award of $5,000
Program. Also attached is the grant award letter.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
There are no previous Council actions regarding this matter.
BACKGROUND:
The El Pomar Foundation Elevating Leadership Development Merit Grant is hereby
awarded to the City of Pueblo to be utilized for the establishment of a new Healthy Eating
Kitchen Program at El Centro Del Quinto Sol Community Center.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
This grant funding represents $5,000 to the City of Pueblo with no required match.
The funding will be allocated to a project account for use consistent with the purpose and
terms of this grant.
BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION:
Not applicable.
STAKEHOLDER PROCESS:
Not applicable.
ALTERNATIVES:
City Council may choose not to accept the grant award.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approval of the Resolution.

RESOLUTION NO. 16169
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A GRANT AWARD OF $5,000 FOR
EL CENTRO DEL QUINTO SOL COMMUNITY CENTER FROM
THE EL POMAR FOUNDATION
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that
SECTION 1.
The Elevating Leadership Development Merit grant award from El Pomar Foundation of
$5,000 is hereby accepted and approved. Grant award funds shall be accepted into project
number CI2520.
SECTION 2.
The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with
the intent of this Resolution to accept the grant award.
SECTION 3.
This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon final passage.
