A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PAYMENT FROM THE
COUNCIL CONTINGENCIES ACCOUNT IN THE 2025 GENERAL
FUND BUDGET TO PUEBLO CHORAL SOCIETY IN THE
AMOUNT OF $1,000 TO SPONSOR OLD FASHIONED
CHRISTMAS 2025 AT 7:00 PM AT MEMORIAL HALL ON
DECEMBER 17, 2025
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that
SECTION 1.
Payment in the amount of $1,000 from the Council Contingencies Account in the 2025
General Fund Budget is authorized to be paid to Pueblo Choral Society to sponsor the 2025 Old
Fashioned Christmas at 7:00 PM at Memorial Hall on December 17, 2025.
SECTION 2.
The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with
the intent of this Resolution to effectuate the policies and procedures described herein.
SECTION 3.
This Resolution shall become effective upon passage and approval.

SUMMARY:
Attached for consideration is a request for support of the Pueblo Choral Society in the
amount of $1,000 to sponsor their 2025 Old Fashioned Christmas event at 7:00 PM at
Memorial Hall on December 17, 2025. This sponsorship tier includes 3 tickets to the
Downtowner Awards Luncheon in January.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
Council supported this event in 2023 for $6,000, in 2022 for $5,000, and in 2024 for
$2,500.
BACKGROUND:
City Council Member Regina Maestri is requesting $1,000 to sponsor Pueblo Choral
2025, at 7:00 PM at Memorial Hall.
This event is a free concert featuring the Pueblo Children's Chorale, the CSU-Pueblo
Faculty Brass Ensemble, and Mariachi Lobos, as well as other guest artists, in presenting
a concert of season favorites.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
Payment of funds in the amount of $1,000 would be paid from the Council Contingencies
Account in the 2025 General Fund Budget to Pueblo Choral Society.

City Council could choose not to authorize funding for this purpose.
