SUBJECT: A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PAYMENT FROM THE COUNCIL
CONTINGENCIES ACCOUNT IN THE 2025 GENERAL FUND BUDGET
TO HABITAT FOR HUMANITY IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,000 TO
SPONSOR RAMP UP PUEBLO
SUMMARY:
Attached for consideration is a request for support of the Ramp Up Pueblo Coalition in
the amount of $1,000 to sponsor the Ramp Up Pueblo program.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
None.
BACKGROUND:
City Council Member Brett Boston is requesting $1,000 to sponsor the Ramp Up Pueblo
Coalition, a partnership between the Pueblo Fire Dept DOTS Program and Habitat for
Humanity and their program Ramp Up Pueblo.
Ramp Up Pueblo is a partnership between Habitat for Humanity of Pueblo, and The
Pueblo Fire Department's D.O.T.S. Program. Ramp Up Puebloa focused initiative to
build and install wheelchair-accessible ramps for children, elderly, disabled, and mobility-
challenged individuals in our community. The need for accessibility ramps cannot be
understated. Being able to come and go as you please from your own home not only
affects your physical health, but your mental health as well. These ramps do more than
improve physical accessthey restore dignity, promote independence, create bonding
with family and friends and help people remain safely in their homes.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
Payment of funds in the amount of $1,000 would be paid from the Council Contingencies
Account in the 2025 General Fund Budget to Habitat For Humanity.

City Council could choose not to authorize funding for this purpose.
RECOMMENDATION:
This Resolution is at the request of Council Member Brett Boston.

RESOLUTION NO.16149
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PAYMENT FROM THE
COUNCIL CONTINGENCIES ACCOUNT IN THE 2025 GENERAL
FUND BUDGET TO HABITAT FOR HUMANITY IN THE AMOUNT
OF $1,000 TO SPONSOR RAMP UP PUEBLO
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that
SECTION 1.
Payment in the amount of $1,000 from the Council Contingencies Account in the 2025
General Fund Budget is authorized to be paid to Habitat For Humanity to sponsor Ramp Up
Pueblo.
SECTION 2.
The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with
the intent of this Resolution to effectuate the policies and procedures described herein.
SECTION 3.
This Resolution shall become effective upon passage and approval.
