HomeMy WebLinkAbout16138RESOLUTION NO.16138 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF A REVOCABLE PERMIT (REV-25-32) TO PUEBLO COMMUNITY COLLEGE FOR THE USE OF THE PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY ALONG ORMAN AVENUE BETWEEN ARTHUR STREET AND MARILYN PLACE TO HOST A HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH CELEBRATION EVENT SATURDAY, OCTOBER 4, 2025 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that SECTION 1. The attached Revocable Permit (Rev-25-32) is authorized to be issued to Pueblo Community College for the use of the public right-of-way along Orman Avenue between Arthur Street and Marilyn Place to host a Hispanic Heritage Month celebration event Saturday, October 4, 2025. SECTION 2. The use of the public right-of-way granted hereby is subject to all limitations, terms, and conditions set forth in the attached Revocable Permit (REV-25-32). SECTION 3. The officers of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with the intent of this Resolution to implement the policies and procedures described herein. SECTION 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage and approval. PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: None. BACKGROUND: Pueblo Community College has requested to close a segment of Orman Avenue between Marilyn Place and Arthur Street to vehicular traffic from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 4, 2025, to host a Hispanic Heritage Month celebration event. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: None. BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: The Revocable Permit Review Committee recommends approval. STAKEHOLDER PROCESS: None. ALTERNATIVES: Failure to approve the Resolution will prevent the applicant from closing Orman Avenue between Marilyn Place and Arthur Street to vehicular traffic to host a Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration event.
