HomeMy WebLinkAbout16098RESOLUTION NO.16098 A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT BY THE MAYOR OF JAY FISHER TO COMPLETE A THREE-YEAR TERM EXPIRING NOVEMBER 1, 2027, ON THE PUEBLO STREETSCAPE ADVISORY COMMITTEE WHEREAS, Mayor Heather Graham has requested confirmation by the City Council of her appointment of Jay Fisher to the Pueblo Streetscape Advisory Committee; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that SECTION 1. The appointment by the Mayor of Jay Fisher to the Pueblo Streetscape Advisory Committee to complete a three-year term expiring November 1, 2027, shall be and is hereby confirmed by the City Council. SECTION 2. The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with this Resolution to implement the appointments described herein. SECTION 3. This Resolution shall become effective on the date of final action by the Mayor and City Council. PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: The Mayor has made appointments to boards and commissions selecting individuals to serve terms which expire during a particular calendar year and presented them to Council for approval. BACKGROUND: Due to the resignation of Jacqueline Rutherford and removal of Bill Adams, there are two appointments available to complete a three-year term on the Pueblo Streetscape Advisory Committee. One vacancy expires expiring November 1, 2027, and one expires November 1, 2026. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: This is a volunteer committee and members serve without compensation. BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: N/A STAKEHOLDER PROCESS: N/A ALTERNATIVES: Remove from the agenda and re-advertise for additional applications. RECOMMENDATION: Approval of the Resolution.
