SUMMARY:
Attached for consideration is a request for support of Southern Colorado Equality
Alliance in the amount of $1,000 to sponsor Pueblo Pride 2025 at 10:30 AM at Mineral
Palace Park on Sunday, August 17, 2025.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
Council supported this event in 2021 for $687.40 and in 2022 for $1,500.
BACKGROUND:
City Council Member Sarah Martinez is requesting $1,000 to sponsor Southern Colorado
event will take place on Sunday, August 17,
2025, at 10:30 AM at Mineral Palace Park.
an all-ages, family-
friendly festival that brings our community together for a day of joy, visibility, and
live entertainment, local vendors, food trucks, community resources, and a vibrant pride
march around the park. Pueblo Pride is a celebration of love, identity, and the power of
showing up for one another.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
Payment of funds in the amount of $1,000 would be paid from the Council Contingencies
Account in the 2025 General Fund Budget to Southern Colorado Equality Alliance.

City Council could choose not to authorize funding for this purpose.

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PAYMENT FROM THE
COUNCIL CONTINGENCIES ACCOUNT IN THE 2025 GENERAL
FUND BUDGET TO SOUTHERN COLORADO EQUALITY
ALLIANCE IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,000 TO SPONSOR PUEBLO
PRIDE 2025 AT 10:30 AM AT MINERAL PALACE PARK ON
SUNDAY, AUGUST 17, 2025
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that
SECTION 1.
Payment in the amount of $1,000 from the Council Contingencies Account in the 2025
General Fund Budget is authorized to be paid to Southern Colorado Equality Alliance to sponsor
Pueblo Pride 2025 at 10:30 AM at Mineral Palace Park on Sunday, August 17, 2025.
SECTION 2.
The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with
the intent of this Resolution to effectuate the policies and procedures described herein.
SECTION 3.
This Resolution shall become effective upon passage and approval.
