SUBJECT: A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PAYMENT FROM THE COUNCIL
CONTINGENCIES ACCOUNT IN THE 2025 GENERAL FUND BUDGET
TO PARKVIEW FOUNDATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,500 TO
SPONSOR THE 44TH ANNUAL STARLIGHT GALA AT 5:30 PM AT THE
PUEBLO CONVENTION CENTER ON FRIDAY, OCTOBER 3RD, 2025
SUMMARY:
Attached for consideration is a request for support of Parkview Foundation in the amount
of $1,500 to sponsor the 44th Annual Starlight Gala at 5:30 PM at the Pueblo Convention
Center on Friday, October 3rd, 2025. This sponsorship tier includes a table for 10.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
None.
BACKGROUND:
City Council Member Regina Maestri is requesting $1,500 to sponsor Parkview
place on Friday, October 3rd,
2025, at 5:30 PM at the Pueblo Convention Center.
community through their involvement in civic and philanthropic support. The event will
begin with a hosted cocktail party, entertainment, and a silent auction. Dinner will follow,
which equips EMS responders with the tools to deliver Type O whole blood to trauma
patients before they reach the hospital. By partnering with AMR, UCHealth Parkview has
made it possible to administer life-saving transfusions in the field bringing hospital-
level care directly at the scene. This initiative significantly improves survival rates,
shortens ICU stays, and enhances recovery, especially in rural and hard-to-reach areas
of southern Colorado.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
Payment of funds in the amount of $1,500 would be paid from the Council Contingencies
Account in the 2025 General Fund Budget to Parkview Foundation.

City Council could choose not to authorize funding for this purpose.

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PAYMENT FROM THE
COUNCIL CONTINGENCIES ACCOUNT IN THE 2025 GENERAL
FUND BUDGET TO PARKVIEW FOUNDATION IN THE AMOUNT
OF $1,500 TO SPONSOR THE 44TH ANNUAL STARLIGHT GALA

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 3RD, 2025
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that
SECTION 1.
Payment in the amount of $1,500 from the Council Contingencies Account in the 2025
General Fund Budget is authorized to be paid to Parkview Foundation to sponsor the 44th Annual
Starlight Gala at 5:30 PM at the Pueblo Convention Center on Friday, October 3rd, 2025.
SECTION 2.
The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with
the intent of this Resolution to effectuate the policies and procedures described herein.
SECTION 3.
This Resolution shall become effective upon passage and approval.
