A-24-02 AND A-24-03), AND TO REPORT FINDINGS AND RECOMMENDATIONS TO THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL SUMMARY: This Resolution directs the Pueblo Urban Renewal Authority (PURA) to initiate a conditions survey of the areas annexed into the City under Pueblo Recreation Resort Annexations (Case Nos. A-24-02 and A-24-03) and to report its findings to the Mayor and City Council. PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: None. BACKGROUND: The properties annexed into the City under the Pueblo Recreation Resort Annexation face high development costs, particularly related to the extension of utilities to the site and other required public improvements. This Resolution expresses Council's direction to PURA to initiate the conditions survey and to report the findings of the study to the Mayor and City Council along with recommendations for future actions that may be warranted. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: None. BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: Not applicable to this Resolution. STAKEHOLDER PROCESS: Not applicable to this Resolution. ALTERNATIVES: Failure to approve this Resolution will signal Council's intent that it does not support the establishment of a new urban renewal district in the area at this time. RECOMMENDATION: Approval of the Resolution.
