SUBJECT: A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF
$16,647.50 FROM ACCOUNT PROJECT HUAN01 STREET
RESURFACING TO ACCOUNT PROJECT HU2505 - CONCRETE
IMPROVEMENTS - CDOT SIDEWALKS AND AWARDING A
CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT IN THE AMOUNT OF $13,647.50 TO
WICKED OUTLAW CONSTRUCTION, FOR PROJECT NO. 25-067,
CONCRETE IMPROVEMENTS - CDOT SIDEWALKS, SETTING FORTH
$3,000 FOR CONTINGENCIES, AND AUTHORIZING THE
PURCHASING AGENT TO EXECUTE SAME
SUMMARY:
Attached is a Resolution transferring funds in the amount of $16,647.50 from Account
Project HUAN01 Street Resurfacing to Account Project HU2505, awarding a construction
contract to Wicked Outlaw Construction, for Project No. 25-067, Concrete Improvements
- CDOT Sidewalks.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
None.
BACKGROUND:
This project will consist of the removal and replacement of concrete sidewalk, curb and
gutter and asphalt on CDOT rights-of-way. The city has received numerous complaints
from citizens about these locations presenting significant safety hazards to
pedestrians. We have forwarded the concerns to CDOT for repairs. To date no action
has occurred to make the repairs. In lieu of potential injuries, the City has decided to
make the sidewalk repairs.
This Resolution awards the construction contract to Wicked Outlaw Construction.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
Funding (including contingencies), in the amount of $16,647.50, will be paid from
Account Project HU2505, Concrete Improvements - CDOT Sidewalks.

None.
STAKEHOLDER PROCESS:
None.
ALTERNATIVES:
Denial of this resolution will cancel the project.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approval of the Resolution.

A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF

CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT IN THE AMOUNT OF $13,647.50
TO WICKED OUTLAW CONSTRUCTION, FOR PROJECT NO.
25-067, CONCRETE IMPROVEMENTS - CDOT SIDEWALKS,
SETTING FORTH $3,000 FOR CONTINGENCIES, AND
AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING AGENT TO EXECUTE SAME
WHEREAS, competitive bids for Project No. 25-067, Concrete Improvements - CDOT
Sidewalks have been received and examined; AND,
WHEREAS, the proposal of Wicked Outlaw Construction, was the lowest bid determined
to be responsive, and the Committee of Awards recommends to the City Council that it authorize
Project No. 25-067, Concrete Improvements - CDOT Sidewalks to be performed; NOW,
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that
SECTION 1.
Funds in the amount of $16,647.50 are hereby transferred from Account Project HUAN01
Street Resurfacing to Account Project HU2505 Concrete Improvements - CDOT Sidewalks.
SECTION 1.
The City Council authorizes Project No. 25-067, Concrete Improvements - CDOT
Sidewalks to be performed, and the contract for said project is hereby awarded to Wicked Outlaw
Construction, in the amount of $13,647.50
SECTION 2.
The Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized to execute said contract on behalf of the City
of Pueblo, a Colorado Municipal Corporation, and the City Clerk shall affix the seal of the City
thereto and attest same.
SECTION 3.
In addition to the amount of the bid set forth, as aforementioned, an additional amount as
stipulated in this section is hereby established for contingencies and additional work.

SECTION 4.
Funding, in the amount of $16,647.50 shall be from Account Project HU2505 - Concrete
Improvements - CDOT Sidewalks.
SECTION 5.
The officers of the City of Pueblo are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent
with this Resolution to implement the policies and procedures described herein.
SECTION 6.
This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage and approval.
