SUBJECT: A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PAYMENT FROM THE COUNCIL
CONTINGENCIES ACCOUNT IN THE 2025 GENERAL FUND BUDGET
TO SENIOR RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT AGENCY, PUEBLO, INC. IN
THE AMOUNT OF $1,000 TO SPONSOR THE BBQ FUNDRAISER AND
CRUISE IN FROM 4-10 PM AT 230 N. UNION AVENUE ON FRIDAY,
JUNE 27, 2025
SUMMARY:
Attached for consideration is a request for support of the Senior Resource Development
Agency (SRDA) in the amount of $1,000 to sponsor the BBQ Fundraiser and Cruise In
from 4-10 PM at 230 N. Union Avenue on Friday, June 27, 2025.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
Council has supported this organization in the past. This is the first request for this
event.
BACKGROUND:
City Council Member Sarah Martinez is requesting $1,000 to
Fundraiser and Cruise In. The event took place on Friday, June 27, 2025, 4-10 PM at
230 N. Union Avenue.
The Mission of SRDA is to provide programs and projects that enhance the quality of
life for the Community of Southern Colorado. SRDA provides opportunities for
intergenerational programs and develops the resources, which enable seniors to live
independently.
This is a fundraising event with free admission featuring music, meals prepared in
house by their culinary team, beer, wine, and classic cars on display.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
Payment of funds in the amount of $1,000 would be paid from the Council
Contingencies Account in the 2025 General Fund Budget to SRDA.

ALTERNATIVES:
City Council could choose not to authorize funding for this purpose.
RECOMMENDATION:
This Resolution is at the request of Council Member Sarah Martinez.

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PAYMENT FROM THE
COUNCIL CONTINGENCIES ACCOUNT IN THE 2025 GENERAL
FUND BUDGET TO SENIOR RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT
AGENCY, PUEBLO, INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,000 TO

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that
SECTION 1.
Payment in the amount of $1,000 from the Council Contingencies Account in the 2025
General Fund Budget is authorized to be paid to SRDA to sponsor the BBQ Fundraiser and
Cruise In from 4-10 PM at 230 N. Union Avenue on Friday, June 27, 2025.
SECTION 2.
The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent
with the intent of this Resolution to effectuate the policies and procedures described herein.
SECTION 3.
This Resolution shall become effective upon passage and approval.
