SUBJECT: A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT OF KURT
PATRICK TO THE POSITION OF DIRECTOR OF STORMWATER
SUMMARY:
The Mayor has appointed Kurt Patrick to the position of Director of Stormwater and
requests confirmation of said appointment by the City Council. Such appointment is
based on Mr. Patrick's education, training, experience and fitness for the position.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
None.
BACKGROUND:
Mr. Patrick holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering Technology including
management of MS4 programs, design consulting and stormwater capital planning. He
civil engineer and surveyor including
over 8 years specializing in stormwater management in both the public and private
sectors. His experience as an Engineering Manager and Engineering Supervisor has
provided him hands-on experience from planning to implementation and knowledge of
regulatory and environmental standards and innovative design solutions. His past five
years have allowed him to hone his leadership skills including employee training and
development. Following a formal panel interview process, I believe Mr. Patrick will
bring his experience and professionalism to lead our Department of Stormwater and
provide quality direction to our elected officials.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
The salary and benefits of Director of Stormwater have been budgeted and
appropriated within the 2025 budget.

ALTERNATIVES:
Failure to confirm the appointment of the Director of Stormwater wil result in that
position remaining vacant.

Approval of Resolution.

A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT OF KURT
PATRICK TO THE POSITION OF DIRECTOR OF
STORMWATER
WHEREAS, Mayor Heather Grahm has requested confirmation by the City Council of the
appointment of Kurt Patrick to the position of Director of Stormwater.
WHEREAS, Kurt Patrick meets and exceeds the qualifications for the appointment as the
Director of Stormwater based on his education, training and experience; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that
SECTION 1.
The appointment by the Mayor of Kurt Patrick as Director of Stormwater shall be and is
hereby confirmed by the City Council.
SECTION 2.
The officers and staff of the City are authorized and directed to perform any and all acts
consistent with this Resolution and the attached agreements which are necessary or
appropriate to implement the anointment described herein.
SECTION 3.
This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage and approval.
