A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PAYMENT FROM THE
COUNCIL CONTINGENCIES ACCOUNT IN THE 2025 GENERAL
FUND BUDGET TO HONOR FLIGHT OF SOUTHERN
COLORADO IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,400 TO SPONSOR THE
2025 SUMMER BASH FROM 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM AT WEIDNER
FIELD IN COLORADO SPRINGS ON SATURDAY, JUNE 21, 2025
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that
SECTION 1.
Payment in the amount of $1,400 from the Council Contingencies Account in the 2025
General Fund Budget is authorized to be paid to Honor Flight of Southern Colorado to sponsor
the 2025 Summer Bash from 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM at Weidner Field in Colorado Springs on
Saturday, June 21, 2025.
SECTION 2.
The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with
the intent of this Resolution to effectuate the policies and procedures described herein.
SECTION 3.
This Resolution shall become effective upon passage and approval.

SUMMARY:
Attached for consideration is a request for support of Honor Flight of Southern Colorado
in the amount of $1,400 to sponsor the 2025 Summer Bash from 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM at
Weidner Field in Colorado Springs on Saturday, June 21, 2025.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
None.
BACKGROUND:
City Council Member Regina Maestri is requesting $1,400 to sponsor Honor Flight of
Southern Colorado's 2025 Summer Bash fundraiser. The event will take place on
Saturday, June 21, 2025 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM at Weidner Field in Colorado Springs.
Honor Flight
inviting them to share in a day of honor at National Memorials. It includes an all-expenses
paid trip to the memorials in Washington, D.C., a trip many of our veterans may not
otherwise be able to take, giving them the opportunity to visit the memorials built in their
honor. Their most recent trip included 5 Pueblo Veterans.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
Payment of funds in the amount of $1,400 would be paid from the Council Contingencies
Account in the 2025 General Fund Budget to Honor Flight of Southern Colorado.

City Council could choose not to authorize funding for this purpose.
RECOMMENDATION:
This Resolution is at the request of Council Member Regina Maestri.
