A RESOLUTION ENDORSING AND ADOPTING A LONG -
RANGE TRANSPORTATION PLAN FOR THE PUEBLO
URBANIZED AREA
WHEREAS, Federal regulations require development through
the "3C" urban transportation planning process of an overall
transportation plan for the urban area consisting in part of a
long -range element;
WHEREAS, the Pueblo City Council is required to develop
the long -range plan in cooperation with local jurisdictions and
the State of Colorado; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUUBLO, COLORADO, !'
that:
SECTION 1.
The Pueblo City council hereby approves and endorses the
"Year 2010 Transportation Plan ", consisting of maps showing
designated system segments along with functional classifications
and number of lanes and supporting narrative material, as
representing an accurate projection of long -range transportation
needs in the Pueblo urban area.
SECTION 2.
The Pueblo City Council hereby approves and endorses the
"Year 2010 Transportation Plan" as being consistent with adopted
transportation goals and objectives and with adopted long -range
urban development projections for the Pueblo urban area.
SECTION 3.
The Pueblo City Council hereby endorses the "Year 2010
Transportation Plan" as being consistent with local air quality
planning efforts and in conformance with the adopted State
Implementation Plan (SIP), as judged by the following criterion:
1. The Plan includes appropriate portions of the SIP
2. The Plan does not violate any air quality standards
3. The Plan does not contribute to any new air quality
violations
4. The Plan does not delay attainment of air quality
standards
5. The Plan does not interfere with the maintenance of
standards
SECTION 4.
The Pueblo City Council hereby adopts the "Year 2010
Transportation Plan" as an integral element of the Pueblo Regional
Comprehensive Development Plan and as a guideline for
transportation system improvements in the Pueblo urbanized area.
SECTION 5.
The Pueblo City Council hereby approves the "Year 2010
Transportation Plan" and authorize submittal of this Plan and
accompanying documentation and resolutions to appropriate State
and Federal agencies.
SECTION 6.
The Resolution shall become effective immediately upon
passage and approval.
