A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PAYMENT FROM THE
COUNCIL CONTINGENCIES ACCOUNT IN THE 2025 GENERAL
FUND BUDGET TO THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF LETTER
CARRIERS IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,000 TO SPONSOR THE 5TH
ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT AT ELMWOOD GOLF COURSE
AT CITY PARK ON JUNE 8, 2025
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that
SECTION 1.
Payment in the amount of $1,000 from the Council Contingencies Account in the 2025
General Fund Budget is authorized to be paid to National Association of Letter Carriers Pueblo
Branch to sponsor the 5th Annual Golf Tournament at Elmwood Golf Course at City Park on June
8, 2025.
SECTION 2.
The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with
the intent of this Resolution to effectuate the policies and procedures described herein.
SECTION 3.
This Resolution shall become effective upon passage and approval.

SUMMARY:
Attached for consideration is a request for support of the National Association of Letter
Carriers Pueblo Branch in the amount of $1,000 to sponsor the 5th Annual Golf
Tournament at Elmwood Golf Course at City Park on June 8, 2025.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
None.
BACKGROUND:
City Council Member Joe Latino is requesting $1,000 to sponsor the National Association
of Letter Carriers Pueblo Branch 5th Annual Golf Tournament. The 5th Annual Golf
Tournament will take place on June 8, 2025, at Elmwood Golf Course at City Park. This
event promises a day of golf, fun, and a shared commitment to supporting our local Boys
and Girls Clubs.
In addition to being the sole representative of city letter carriers employed by the U.S.
Postal Service, the National Association of Letter Carriers contributes to countless
-day food drive
and have collected more than 1.9 billion pounds of food. In 1952, the National
Association of Letter Carriers became the first national sponsor of the Muscular
Dystrophy Association and remains a top fundraiser for the organization.

FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
Payment of funds in the amount of $1,000 would be paid from the Council Contingencies
Account in the 2025 General Fund Budget to National Association of Letter Carriers.
