A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PAYMENT FROM THE
COUNCIL CONTINGENCIES ACCOUNT IN THE 2025 GENERAL
FUND BUDGET TO COLORADO PRESERVATION INC. IN THE
AMOUNT OF $1,000 TO SPONSOR ON THE ROAD 2025
STARTING AT 8:30 AM, JUNE 21, 2025 AT THE EL PUEBLO
MUSEUM CONTINUING THROUGH SUNDAY, JUNE 22, 2025
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that
SECTION 1.
Payment in the amount of $1,000 from the Council Contingencies Account in the 2025
General Fund Budget is authorized to be paid to Colorado Preservation Inc. to sponsor the On
the Road 2025 event starting at 8:30 AM, June 21, 2025 at the El Pueblo Museum continuing
through Sunday, June 22, 2025.
SECTION 2.
The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with
the intent of this Resolution to effectuate the policies and procedures described herein.
SECTION 3.
This Resolution shall become effective upon passage and approval.

SUMMARY:
Attached for consideration is a request for support of Colorado Preservation Inc. in the
amount of $1,000 to sponsor On the Road 2025 starting at 8:30 AM, June 21, 2025 at
the El Pueblo Museum continuing through Sunday, June 22, 2025.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
In 2018, council sponsored another event for Colorado Preservation Inc. This is the first
request for this event.
BACKGROUND:
City Council Member Sarah Martinez is requesting $1,000 to sponsor Colorado
El Pueblo Museum continuing through Sunday, June 22, 2025.
Colorado Preservation Inc. was founded in 1984 as a donor-supported nonprofit
preservation organization with education programs, public policy advocacy, and a
newsletter. Their work helped dozens of communities with their preservation efforts in
every region of the state.
This event celebrates the rich history and vibrant cultural identity of this remarkable
through engaging activities that honor both its agricultural roots and industrial legacy.
Guided walking and bus tours will highlight Pueblo's dedicated preservation efforts of its
heritage farms, landscapes, and the vibrant cultural identity of its neighborhoods. This
tapestry and the stories that define it. The event is open to the public and will feature
exclusive behind-the-scenes tours of some of Colorado's most unique historical sites.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
Payment of funds in the amount of $1,000 would be paid from the Council Contingencies
Account in the 2025 General Fund Budget to Colorado Preservation Inc.
