A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A NEW PROJECT ACCOUNT
CI2511 - MINERAL PALACE GREENHOUSE HVAC REPL;
TRANSFERRING FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $26,458 FROM
CIAN20 - CITY BUILDING REPAIRS AND DEPOSITING AND
BUDGETING AND APPROPRIATING SAID FUNDS INTO
PROJECT ACCOUNT CI2511; AND AWARDING A
CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT IN THE AMOUNT OF $21,458 TO
TOLIN MECHANICAL SYTEMS FOR PROJECT NO. 25-043,
MINERAL PALACE GREENHOUSE RTU REPLACEMENT,
SETTING FORTH $5,000 FOR CONTINGENCIES, AND
AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING AGENT TO EXECUTE SAME
WHEREAS, competitive bids for 25-043 Mineral Palace Greenhouse RTU Replacement
have been received and examined; and,
WHEREAS, the proposal of Tolin Mechanical Systems was the lowest bid determined to
be responsive, and the Committee of Awards recommends to the City Council that it authorizes
Project No. 25-043 Mineral Palace Greenhouse RTU Replacement to be performed; NOW,
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that
SECTION 1.
Project Account CI2511 - Mineral Palace Greenhouse HVAC Repl. is hereby established.
SECTION 2.
Funds in the amount of $26,458 are hereby transferred from Project Account CIAN20 -
City Building Repairs and deposited and budgeted and appropriated into Project Account CI2511
- Mineral Palace Greenhouse HVAC Repl.
SECTION 3.
The City Council authorizes Project No. 25-043 Mineral Palace Greenhouse RTU
Replacement to be performed, and the contract for said project is hereby awarded to Tolin
Mechanical Systems in the amount of $21,458.
SECTION 4.
The Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized to execute said contract on behalf of the City
of Pueblo, a Colorado Municipal Corporation, and the City Clerk shall affix the seal of the City
thereto and attest same.
SECTION 5.
In addition to the amount of the bid set forth, as aforementioned, an additional amount as
stipulated in this section is hereby established for contingencies and additional work.
Contingencies
SECTION 6.
Funds in the amount of $26,458, for the contract and contingencies, shall be from account
Project CI2511, Mineral Palace Greenhouse HVAC Repl.
SECTION 5.
The officers of the City of Pueblo are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent
with this Resolution to implement the policies and procedures described herein.
SECTION 7.
This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage and approval.

SUMMARY:
This Resolution creates account Project CI2511 - Mineral Palace Greenhouse HVAC
Repl, transfers funds in the amount of $26,458 from CIAN20 - City Building Repairs to
CI2511 - Mineral Palace Greenhouse HVAC Repl, budgets and appropriates funds
totaling $26,458 for the project, awards a Construction Contract to Tolin Mechanical
System for Project No. 25-043 Mineral Palace Greenhouse RTU Replacement.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
None.
BACKGROUND:
This project consists of removing and replacing the damaged rooftop unit (RTU) for the
Mineral Palace greenhouse atrium. This Resolution awards the construction contract to
Tolin Mechanical Systems. It also establishes a new Project Account CI2511 - Mineral
Palace Greenhouse HVAC Repl and transfers project funds from Project Account
CIAN20 - City Building Repairs into said account.
This replacement is due to vandalism and is not related to current ongoing renovations
at the Mineral Palace greenhouse.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
Funds in the amount of $26,458 will be transferred from Project Account CIAN20, Street
Resurfacing into Project Account CI2511 - Mineral Palace Greenhouse HVAC Repl.
Funds in the amount of $26,458 (covering construction and contingencies) shall be paid
from CI2511.

None.
STAKEHOLDER PROCESS:
None.
ALTERNATIVES:
Denial of this resolution will prevent the transfer of funds and cancel the project.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approval of the Resolution.
