A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PAYMENT FROM THE
COUNCIL CONTINGENCIES ACCOUNT IN THE 2025 GENERAL
FUND BUDGET TO MAD FRESH PRODUCTIONS IN THE
AMOUNT OF $2,500 TO SPONSOR THE 2025 SUMMER HIP
HOP FESTIVAL FROM 11:00 AM TO 7:00 PM AT MINERAL
PALACE PARK ON JULY 19, 2025.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that
SECTION 1.
Payment in the amount of $2,500 from the Council Contingencies Account in the 2025
General Fund Budget is authorized to be paid to Mad Fresh Productions to sponsor the 2025
Summer Hip Hop Festival from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM Mineral Palace Park on July 19, 2025.
SECTION 2.
The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with
the intent of this Resolution to effectuate the policies and procedures described herein.
SECTION 3.
This Resolution shall become effective upon passage and approval.

SUMMARY:
Attached for consideration is a request for support of Mad Fresh Productions in the
amount of $2,500 to sponsor the 2025 Summer Hip Hop Festival from 11:00 AM to 7:00
PM at Mineral Palace Park on July 19, 2025.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
Council supported this event in 2023 for $1,500 and in 2024 for $2,000.
BACKGROUND:
City Council Member Joe Latino is requesting $2,500 to sponsor Mad Fresh Productions'
third Annual Summer Hip Hop Festival. The Summer Hip Hop Festival will take place on
July 19, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM at Mineral Palace Park. This is a free event
featuring food trucks, vendors, Bgirl Battles, Breakin Battles, DJs, graffiti art battles, and
dance crews with prizes for competition winners and workshops for kids.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
Payment of funds in the amount of $2,500 would be paid from the Council Contingencies
Account in the 2025 General Fund Budget to Mad Fresh Productions.

City Council could choose not to authorize funding for this purpose.
RECOMMENDATION:
