A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PAYMENT FROM THE
COUNCIL CONTINGENCIES ACCOUNT IN THE 2025 GENERAL
FUND BUDGET TO THE JUNIOR LEAGUE OF PUEBLO IN THE
AMOUNT OF $1,500 TO SPONSOR THE TOUR A TRUCK EVENT
ON SATURDAY, APRIL 12, 2025 FROM 10 AM - 2 PM IN THE
CARNIVAL LOT OF THE COLORADO STATE FAIRGROUNDS
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that
SECTION 1.
Payment in the amount of $1,500 from the Council Contingencies Account in the 2025
General Fund Budget is authorized to be paid to the Junior League of Pueblo to sponsor the Tour
a Truck event on Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 10 am - 2 pm in the Carnival Lot of the Colorado
State Fairgrounds.
SECTION 2.
The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with
the intent of this Resolution to effectuate the policies and procedures described herein.
SECTION 3.
This Resolution shall become effective upon passage and approval.

SUMMARY:
Attached for consideration is a request for support of Junior League of Pueblo in the
amount of $1,500 to sponsor the Tour a Truck event on Saturday, April 12, 2025, from
10 am - 2 pm in the Carnival Lot of the Colorado State Fairgrounds.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
None.
BACKGROUND:
City Council Member Regina Maestri is requesting $1,500 to sponsor the Tour a Truck
event on Saturday, April 12, 2025 from 10 am - 2 pm in the Carnival Lot of the Colorado
State Fairgrounds. Tour a Truck serves as the fundraiser for the League. Historically, the
event has brought more than 1,000 people of all ages to explore and educate themselves
among various vehicles, vendor booths and fun, active activities.
Children get to put their imagination in gear and go! Kids have the opportunity to get
behind the wheel and rub elbows with their hometown heroes, climb on and explore their
favorite vehicles, including big rigs, fire engines, police cars, construction trucks, tractors
and much more. The highlight and fan favorite of the event is the arrival of the Flight for
Life helicopter! This affordable event ($5 entry fee) raises money to support community
programs, while also being a community impact event.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
Payment of funds in the amount of $1,500 would be paid from the Council Contingencies
Account in the 2025 General Fund Budget to the Junior League of Pueblo.

City Council could choose not to authorize funding for this purpose.
