SUBJECT: AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A LEASE BETWEEN THE CITY OF
PUEBLO, A COLORADO MUNICIPAL CORPORATION AND MARINE
TOYS FOR TOTS FOUNDATION, A VIRGINA NONSTOCK
CORPORATION FOR THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 317 NORTH MAIN
STREET AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE SAME
SUMMARY:
Attached is an Ordinance approving and authorizing the Mayor to execute a lease
for Tots Foundation, a Virgina Nonstock Corporation.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
None.
BACKGROUND:
Marine Toys for Tots Foundation wishes to lease a 3,200 square-foot portion of the Pope
Marine Toys for Tots
Foundation shall
Maintenance and management of the building
Building utilities
Repair of the building
Building property taxes
Building use taxes not abated through the Pueblo Urban Enterprise Zone
Building insurance
Building fire systems
Marine Toys for Tots Foundation and Landlord have the option of cancelling the lease
for the Pope Block Building with sixty days (60) prior notice to the other party.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
The lease requires Marine Toys for Tots Foundation to pay to the City its proportional

Not applicable to this Ordinance.
STAKEHOLDER PROCESS:
Not applicable to this Ordinance.
ALTERNATIVES:
If this Ordinance is not approved, Marine Toys for Tots Foundation would not lease the
space.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approve the Ordinance.

ORDINANCE NO. 10907
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A LEASE BETWEEN THE CITY
OF PUEBLO, A COLORADO MUNICIPAL CORPORATION AND
MARINE TOYS FOR TOTS FOUNDATION, A VIRGINA
NONSTOCK CORPORATION FOR THE PROPERTY LOCATED
AT 317 NORTH MAIN STREET AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
TO EXECUTE THE SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1.
The proposed Lease Agreement between the City of Pueblo, a Colorado Municipal
Corporation and Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, a Virgina Nonstock Corporation, a copy of
which is attached hereto, having been approved as to form by the City Attorney, is hereby
approved. The Mayor is authorized to execute and deliver the lease in the name of the City and
the Acting City Clerk is directed to affix the seal of the City thereto and attest same.
SECTION 2.
The officers and staff of the City are authorized and directed to perform any and all acts
consistent with this Ordinance and the attached Lease which are necessary or desirable to
effectuate the transactions described therein.
SECTION 3.
This Ordinance shall become effective on the date of final action by the Mayor and City
Council.
