SUBJECT: AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A USE PERMIT AND RENTAL
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF PUEBLO, A COLORADO
MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, AND THE COLORADO STATE FAIR
AUTHORITY, A SUBDIVISION OF THE STATE OF COLORADO, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAME
SUMMARY:
This Ordinance approves a use permit and rental agreement for the use of facilities at
the Colorado State Fairgrounds in support of a community clean up event scheduled to
be held on May 31, 2025.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
None.
BACKGROUND:
The City of Pueblo will be executing a City-wide clean up event to be held on May 31,
2025, at the Colorado State Fairgrounds for the benefit of City of Pueblo residents. The
Colorado State Fair has requested the City enter into a use permit and rental agreement
for use of the facility to host the event. All fees associated with the use of the facility
have been waived under the terms of the agreement.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
None.

Not applicable to this Ordinance.
STAKEHOLDER PROCESS:
Not applicable to this Ordinance.
ALTERNATIVES:
If this Ordinance is not approved, the City of Pueblo will not be able to host the cleanup
event as planned at the State Fairgrounds.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approval of the Ordinance.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1.
The Use Permit and Rental Agreement between the City of Pueblo, a Colorado Municipal
Corporation, and the Colorado State Fair Authority, a subdivision of the State of Colorado, a copy
of which is attached hereto (hereinafter referred to as the "Agreement"), having been approved
as to form by the City Attorney, is hereby approved.
SECTION 2.
The Mayor is authorized to execute and deliver the Agreement in the name of the City of
Pueblo and the City Clerk is directed to affix the seal of the City thereto and attest same.
SECTION 3.
The officers of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with this
Ordinance to implement the policies and procedures described herein.
SECTION 4.
This Ordinance shall become effective on the date of final action by the Mayor and City
Council.
