A RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR CITY HALL
MASONRY RESTORATION, AND AUTHORIZING THE PUR-
CHASING AGENT TO EXECUTE THE SAME
WHEREAS, proposals for City Hall Masonry Restoration have been
received and examined; and
WHEREAS, the proposal of Rocky Mountain Restoration, of Littleton,
Colorado, was the lowest and most responsible bid; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, COLORADO, that:
SECTION 1.
The contract for City Hall Masonry Restoration be, and the same
is hereby awarded to Rocky Mountain Restoration, in the amount of $46,200.00.
The awarding of the contract for the project set forth herein shall be subject
to sufficient sureties to be approved by the Purchasing Agent of the said City.
SECTION 2
The Purchasing Agent be, and he is hereby authorized to execute
said contract on behalf of Pueblo, a Municipal Corporation, and the City Clerk
shall affix the seal of the City thereto and attest the same.
SECTION 3.
In addition to the amount of the bid set forth, as aforementioned,
an additional amount as stipulated in this section is hereby established for
contingencies and additional work.
Contingencies and Additional Work- - - - -$ 4,620.00
SECTION 4.
Funds for said project shall be paid from Account Number 002 -1987-
100- 000 - 040 -1801 and 002- 1988 - 100 - 000 - 040 -8802.

Proposal of ROCKY MOUNTAIN RESTORATION (Hereinafter called "Bidder ")
To the City of Pueblo (Hereinafter called "Owner ")
Gentlemen:
The Bidder, in compliance with your invitation for bids for Exterior Masonry
Paint Stripping and Restoration Cleaning of City Hall, yl City Hall Place,
Pueblo, Colorado
� Having examined the Plans and Specifications with related documents and the site of
i the proposed work, and being familiar with all of the conditions surrounding the
proposed project, including the availability of materials, utilities, and labor,
hereby proposes to furnish all labor, materials, and supplies, and to accomplish
the project in accordance with the Contract Documents, within the time set forth
therein, and at the prices stated below. These prices are to cover all expenses
incurred in performing the work required under the Contract Documents, of which
this proposal is a part.
The Bidder hereby agrees to commence work under this Contract on or before a date
to be specified in written "Notice to Proceed" of the Owner and to fully complete

Bidder understands that the Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and
to waive any informalities in the Bidding.
The Bidder agrees that this bid shall be good and may not be withdrawn for a period
of 30 calendar days after the scheduled closing time for receiving bids.
Upon receipt of written notice of the acceptance of this bid, Bidder will execute
the formal Contract attached within ten (10) days.

The exterior paint stripping, cleaning and masonry repair as outlined below:
1) Remove paint from exterior stone and brick.
2) Chemically clean the stone and brick to remove pollution and dirt and to
neutralize the paint stripper.
3) Clean the marble entry on the north side with a marble cleaner.
�}) Special cleaning on granite foundation to remove previous patching or other
foreign materials from stone surface.
5) Identify, cut out and tuckpoint joints in stone which are cracked, missing or
excessively deep. (per architects direction).
The above work and alternates will be performed for the following sums:
1) Base proposal per plans and specs. - - $42,400.00
2) Alternate 1 - Strip and clean tower - 3,840.00
3) Stone pointing - 1.50 per lineal foot
The base bid work will be performed within forty five (45) days (weather permitting
from commencement of work. If alternate is done, it is believed that it too could
be done within the same time period, but could require more time.
