A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PAYMENT FROM THE
COUNCIL CONTINGENCIES ACCOUNT IN THE 2025 GENERAL
FUND BUDGET TO THE PUEBLO CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,000 TO SPONSOR A TABLE AT THE
ANNUAL GALA & CITIZEN OF THE YEAR PRESENTATION ON
FRIDAY, JANUARY 31, 2025 AT 6:00 PM AT THE PUEBLO
CONVENTION CENTER
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that
SECTION 1.
Payment in the amount of $1,000 from the Council Contingencies Account in the 2025
General Fund Budget is authorized to be paid to the Greater Pueblo Chamber of Commerce to
sponsor a table at the Annual Gala & Citizen of the Year Presentation at the Pueblo Convention
Center on Friday, January 31, 2025 at 6:00 pm.
SECTION 2.
The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent
with the intent of this Resolution to effectuate the policies and procedures described herein.
SECTION 3.
This Resolution shall become effective upon passage and approval.

SUMMARY:
Attached for consideration is a request for support of Pueblo Chamber of Commerce in
the amount of $1,000 to sponsor a table at the Annual Gala & Citizen of the Year
Presentation on Friday, January 31, 2025 at 6:00 pm at the Pueblo Convention Center.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
In the past, Council has purchased tickets individually rather than sponsoring a table.
BACKGROUND:
City Council Member Dennis Flores is requesting $1,000 to support the Annual Gala &
Citizen of the Year Presentation with a table at the Pueblo Convention Center on
Friday, January 31, 2025 at 6:00 pm.
Slyhoff Citizen of the Ye
awardee is Yanera McCulley Sedillo. The gala event includes dinner, entertainment,
and silent and live auctions. The Annual Meeting serves as a commemorative year in
review. The Chamber also honors
board chair to the incoming board chair.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
Payment of funds in the amount of $1,000 would be paid from the Council
Contingencies Account in the 2025 General Fund Budget to Pueblo Chamber of
Commerce.

ALTERNATIVES:
City Council could choose not to authorize funding for this purpose.
RECOMMENDATION:
This Resolution is at the request of Council Member Dennis Flores.
