A RESOLUTION AWARDING AN AGREEMENT FOR
PROFESSIONAL ELECTRICAL SERVICES IN THE AMOUNT OF
$10,500.00 TO SUN VALLEY CONTRACTORS, LLC, A
COLORADO LIMITED LIABILITY COMPANY, FOR PROJECT
NO. 24-141 29TH STREET PUMP STATION ELECTRICAL
EVALUATION AND AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING AGENT
TO EXECUTE THE SAME
WHEREAS, the Proposal by Sun Valley Contractors, LLC, for Project No. 24-141 29th
Street Pump Station Electrical Evaluation, has been received and examined; AND,
WHEREAS, the Proposal by Sun Valley Contractors, LLC, was determined to be the
most advantageous to the City of Pueblo, and in the best interest of the City of Pueblo, based
on the evaluation factors set forth in the Request for Proposals; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that
SECTION 1.
The City Council authorizes Project No. 24-141 29th Street Pump Station Electrical
Evaluation to be performed, and the contract for said services is hereby awarded to Sun Valley
Contractors, LLC, in the amount of $10,500.00.
SECTION 2.
Funds for said Agreement shall be paid from Project Account SW1701 Pump Station
29th St.
SECTION 3.
The Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized to execute said contract on behalf of the City
of Pueblo, a Colorado Municipal Corporation, and the City Clerk shall affix the seal of the City
thereto and attest the same.
SECTION 4.
The officers of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with this
Resolution to implement the policies and procedures described herein.
SECTION 5.
This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage and approval.

SUMMARY:
This Resolution awards an Agreement for Professional Electrical Services to Sun Valley
Contractors, LLC, to render certain professional assessment, planning, electrical
engineering, and related services. Sun Valley Contractors, LLC, was determined to be
the most responsible bidder and will be awarded a contract in the amount of
$10,500.00.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
None.
BACKGROUND:
Before the installation of the pump station on 29th St, the roadway was susceptible to
flooding during rainfall events. While the pump station was intended to mitigate this
issue, it has since failed.
This project will perform a comprehensive electrical evaluation of the pump station to
identify any electrical issues that are causing the pumps to be non-functional. The
findings will be compiled into a report that will outline necessary steps to restore the
pump station to operational condition.
In November 2024, the City of Pueblo Stormwater Utility solicited Requests for
Proposals for electrical services for the 29th St Pump Station Electrical Evaluation
Project. After reviewing the proposals, Sun Valley Contractors, LLC was determined to
be the most advantageous to the City of Pueblo, and in the best interest of the City of
Pueblo, based on the evaluation factors set forth in the Request for Proposals.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
Funding in the amount of $10,500.00 will be paid from SW1701 Pump Station 29th
St.

Dear Mr. Weber:
We are pleased to notify you that the Evaluation Committee has approved your bid in the total
amount of $10,500.00; however, before a Purchase Order can be issued additional information
is required.
A Contract Checklist will be released to you through the OpenGov system to submit the required
information. Please watch for a notice from OpenGov to complete the requirements. After all
items are submitted and approved, you will be contacted by the City’s Project Manager(s) with a
Purchase Order and start date.
Termsand Conditions of the Purchase Order shall be subject to and incorporate the terms and
conditions set forth in the Invitation for Bid. Any work or orders placed prior to receiving
authorization to proceed will not be the responsibility of the City.
