A RESOLUTION RATIFYIOINTMENT
OF BRANDON MARTINEZ TO THE PUEBLO HUMAN
RELATIONS COMMISSION IN THE YOUTH MEMBER
POSITION
WHEREAS, PACOG duly convened and appointed Brandon Martinez to the youth
member position to serve a one-year term on the Pueblo Human Relations Commission expiring
on December 31, 2025, it is now the desire of the Pueblo City Council to ratify said appointment;
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that
SECTION 1.
The joint appointment of Brandon Martinez to the Pueblo Human Relations Commission
to serve a one-year term expiring December 31, 2025, as a youth member, shall be and hereby
is ratified.
SECTION 2.
The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent
with this Resolution to implement the appointment described herein.
SECTION 3.
This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon final passage.

SUBJECT: A RESOLUTION RATIFYIOINTMENT OF
BRANDON MARTINEZ TO THE PUEBLO HUMAN RELATIONS
COMMISSION IN THE YOUTH MEMBER POSITION
SUMMARY:
This resolution ratifies the joint City-County appointment of a member to serve on the
Pueblo Human Relations Commission.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
Joint City-County appointments to the Pueblo Human Relations Commission are made
on an annual basis selecting individuals to serve expiring or vacant terms. Resolutions
to ratify the joint appointments are passed by each entity.
BACKGROUND:
There is one joint vacancy for a youth member on the Pueblo Human Relations
Commission. During the PACOG meeting on December 12, 2024, the BOCC and City
Council members reviewed the applications and appointed Brandon Martinez to the
Pueblo Human Relations Commission in the youth member position.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
This is a volunteer committee and members serve without compensation.

N/A
ALTERNATIVES:
City Council in agreement with the County Commissioners could remove the Resolution
from the Agenda, and request that the recruitment process be extended in order to
receive additional applications for consideration.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approval of the Resolution.
